Weds words

In a word, microcosm.

Yep, in a small bar, in a city centre backstreet, there is a sanctuary. Here, lovely people gather to enjoy each other’s company, share pints, share stories and wear royal blue. This is YPH. Small in numbers yet perfectly formed. It’s a way of life. It’s a joy. A sea of laughter and smiling faces. It does not matter if you are fast or slow. It does not matter if you are a long-standing member or new. The only thing that matters is that we love each other. And we do.

I looked across a packed bar. Packed with runners. Packed with pride. Packed to celebrate Glynn and Mark.

Dolly said a few words. We listened and applauded. Simon said a few words. We listened and applauded. Lisa was brimming with pride. Her boy had just received a well deserved award.

I write words, but they don’t matter. What matters is the joy we give each other.

I love YPH. I hope you do to.

Take care. Read this. Kick-back and take a moment. Thank you for being YPH.
