It was great to see a small but perfectly formed group of Posties at the Vale of York Half Marathon yesterday. Big congratulations to Jim Carter on his 1:30, tantalisingly close to the magic sub 90 mins for the man who takes more steps per 100 metres than anyone I know.
More respect heading in the direction of one of our band of ultra runners. Brilliant stuff from Jo Barrett taking on the Cumbria Way. A mere 73 miles from Ulverston to Carlisle and successfully completed in 22:01:50. Yep, that's 22 hours not 22 minutes. Hard numbers to fathom for us parkrunners! Check out one of Jo's photos below, it perfectly sums up part of the addiction to ultra running. You can't beat scenery like it.

Well done also to Dave Johnson for a 15th place finish out of 283 in the 10K Beckbusters race.
