York Postal Harriers ladies team put in a strong performance at Knavesmire in the fourth York District Road Race League 10k of the season.

Led home in a PB time by Charlotte Oakes they finished fifth in the team standings ahead of City of York AC.

Amy Johnson, Diane Campbell and Harriet Sleight all produced great runs to help secure the points.

Not all Dom and gloom

Despite finishing second to Tadcaster’s James Eaton, Dom Carter ran a PB and is still on course to win the overall title.

Dom has won three out of the four races so far and one more victory at Bugthorpe or Wistow should see him crowned champion.

Tom canters home

Tom Cantrell also ran a PB as he continued his brilliant form to finish second male Postie.

The men’s team finished 8th overall, with Jim Carter, Neale Holmes, Alex Boynton and Adam Love making up the places.

We had fun

Three and a bit laps of the racecourse on a hot and humid night it tough going but the support from the sidelines kept us all smiling.

Well…most of us…

The next race in the series is at Bugthorpe on 24 June 2025.
