Dom Carter made it two out of two as he won the second York District Road Race League 10k of the season.

Facing stiffer competition than the first race - which he won by almost two minutes - Dom saw off the challenge of Tadcaster’s James Eaton to put him firmly top of the leaderboard.
Dom finished in 33.07, pulling away to finish 16 seconds ahead of the runner up.
Mighty Oakes
On a very hilly course, Charlotte Oakes ran a PB and finished third in her age category as she led home the Postal Harriers ladies team.

The ladies finished seventh overall with Amy Johnson, Di Campbell and Harriet Sleight filling the rest of the team places with great performances.
Mawer the merrier
Damien Mawer followed Dom as the second Postie home, finishing in 40th overall as the men’s team also claimed seventh place.

Mark Pearson recovered from his weekend tail-walking efforts and a recent hamstring injury to finish third Postie.

Elliot Cole, Jim Carter and Neale Holmes filled the remaining team places.
The next race is on 27 May 2025 at Easingwold.
