Virtual Challenge Update - 1st April

Everyone has been busy logging those miles. My apologies to everyone who is submitting miles by email, I know my responses are getting shorter and shorter but that's because we've got so many of us out exercising and following the Govt guidelines. 52 of us are taking part, which is incredible.

So the results are out taking into account everything you've posted on FB (I think) and sent in by email as at 7.15am on 1st April.

This is no April Fool but both teams are now neck and neck. Team Pocket to Socket clearly benefitted from their extended dynamic stretching at the start and have made up ground on Team Minster Inn. The Mini Inn team are still out in front but only by 0.08 of a mile. 224.53 miles v 224.45 miles.

That leaves both teams not far from London in Bishop's Stortford. Now I know a little bit more about that place. Use to go through there on the train each day when I worked in London. The daily commuter train where no one spoke, not like Yorkshire. Hospitality may have been a bit thin on the ground last night then but we've got each other!

The race is on into London today. We're heading straight into the centre and it should be an easy run with no human or vehicle traffic getting in our way. Once we breach the M25 we'll head in and veer West towards the Mall to take in some of the London Marathon route before turning round and racing towards Kent. The end of Leg One in Dover is in sight. 130 miles away, will anyone make it today?
