Postal Goes Stateside

Congratulations again to everyone who took part in the last challenge. York to Moscow was no mean feat, even better that we made it together. It seems clear with race cancellations now happening for events in Sept & Oct that the impact of the current situation on taking part in events and running together will be with us for some time yet.

What better way to spend that time than on another challenge. This time we are going Stateside for a 2834 mile challenge. Here's the deal:

- we start this Sunday so no need to log miles before then. The rest of today and Saturday is just your dynamic warm up time, isn't that right Coach?

- the start line is Malibu Beach in LA on the Pacific Coast.

- from there we head east all the way, taking in Phoenix, Dallas, New Orleans and Universal Studios before finishing on the Atlantic Coast at Jacksonville Beach, home of our very own Deanna. Looking forward to the virtual BBQ on the beach at the end please Deanna.

Here's the start line on Malibu Beach. Look at the pristine towels, all reserved since 5am by the German tourists.

And here's your finish line in Jacksonville.

And here's a reminder of the teams.

The 'rules' are simple. Running and walking counts. Walking on your postal round counts too. You can log your miles by posting underneath my daily FB reports or send me an email. If I've liked your FB post then I've logged your miles and if I reply to your email then the same applies. Feel free to chase me up if you think I've missed yours.

It helps me if you post in miles only. Converting 10K into miles is easy peasy but I can't do 9.73K in my head. Not yet anyway.

That's it. If only we were doing this for real. And remember, all miles before Sunday don't count!
