Virtual Road Race

Hi all

I hope you have all had a lovely Xmas, and are ready for the challenges 2021 is already providing. Fingers crossed there are now green shoots started to show on our route back to normality.

We are now in tier 3 but that means we can still train as a group and take part in organised events.

Becky had has suggested the following event, it is a 5 mile virtual club race, round 1 started 4 days ago but we have until the 10th of January to compete and submit our times. Everyone can take part and submit a time, the top 5 Men and top 5 Women are put forward as the club representatives (this is done by EA) so if you run 5 miles by the date please put your time in.

For those of you taking on Hannah's RED January challenge the means you have 10 attempts to get you best time! Personally I will wait until I have spent a few hours on a particularly stressful Zoom meeting for work and then run off into the distance to get away from it all.

Please have a look at the challenge and let me know if you are doing it, any issues with the site we will work together to get it sorted.

Remember we are stronger together.

Andy

It should be mandatory to have a hotdog checkpoint in every race. I want to see them at the 10K Summer League and 5K in you've got to stop and get a hotdog down, or 3 in my case. I was bloody hungry
